How do I know if me or my child could benefit from occupational therapy services?
Occupational therapy services aim to promote participation in tasks and activities (occupations) that bring meaning to our lives. From the ‘need to do’ tasks such as getting dressed for the day to the ‘want to do’ activities like socializing with friends, occupational therapists support individuals and families to build skill across these areas.
Do I/my child need a medical diagnosis? Do I need a doctor’s referral?
Clients do not need a medical diagnosis or physician referral to engage in occupational therapy services. We commonly work with individuals with diagnoses or symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD, developmental delays, sensory processing disorder, and behavioral disorders.
